[EPL 10라운드] 리버풀 VS 맨유 - 2009년 10월 25일 경기

맨유 트레블 시절부터 팬이었지만 제대후에 당시 어려만 보이던 (나보단 나이 많지만..) 제라드가
지금보니 정말 듬직해보였다고 해야되나.. 캡틴 제라드라 불리고 있는 모습이,
이상하게 리버풀이란 팀이 좋아져서 얼마전부터 주말마다 경기를 보고있는데.

작년에 최고의 모습을 보여주다 올해 참 팀이 어려운 때 붉은장미의 전쟁이라 불리는 맨유와의 경기에
이겼는데 승리도 승리지만, 16분 57초쯤 나오는 캐러거의 미소지으며 엄지손가락을 치켜든 후 다시 묵묵히
수비위치로 돌아가는 모습이 정말 감동적이었다.

단 두명인 유스출신으로 팀의 아이콘인 제라드 못지않게 현지팬들에게 사랑을 받고있다고는 하지만 수비이기에
득점후 세레모니에도 함께 하는 모습을 볼수없고 묵묵히 뒤에서 궂은 일을 도맡아 하며 같은 편 팀원들에게
큰소리치며 얼굴 붉히는 모습은 많이 봐왔지만 저렇게 미소짓는 모습은 처음본 거 같다.

박지성도 맨유로 갔고 처음 축구보기 시작해서 팬이 된 이유가 베컴의 오른발 때문이었으며 지금도 맨유를 좋아하지만
남자라면 리버풀이라는 종료휘슬때까지 눈을 못떼게하는 리버풀 특유의 팀색깔때문에 좋아하게 된건지.

20년동안 리그우승이 없는 팀이니 승패야 기분만 좀 그럴뿐 크게 신경안쓰지만 
요즘은 경기도 재미없는게 좀 아쉬울뿐. ㅎ~
